Description
Mary Ann Ticehurst married William Greathead (1837-1875) on 30 Jan 1861 in Greytown when she was 18 & had 9 children Husband William died on 21 July 1875 of pleurisy May Ann had A. son on 13 Dec 1881 Arthur Greathead father unnamed
She next married John William Tattersall (1842-1905) on 19 Feb 1894 when she was 51. John had first married Margaret Frances Power (1845-1879) in 1878. Husband John Tattersall died in Timaru 18 July 1905. Mary died 9 months later as Tattersall and was buried as Tattersall BDM cemetery database and other documents have Tattersall But perhaps they had been separated for some time as her headstone is engraved Greathead She is buried here with daughter Emma in Plot MAT Row 2 Plan IX Pioneer and A. memorial to Emma'S son who was killed in action 1915
