Description

Edward born Monongalia County West Virginia. Margaret born Shelby County Kentucky. Heritage: Blacksmith. Convert LDS Church, 1844. Endowed Nauvoo Temple Jan 27, 1846. Left Nauvoo in 2nd Wagon Company, Feb 1846. Called by Brigham Young to establish a wagon repair shop in Des Moines, IA 1846. Arrived in Salt Lake Valley - The Captain Warren Foote Company, Sep 1850. Sent by Brigham Young to Springville to be City Blacksmith, Spring 1851. Built the first home and blacksmith shop outside the original fort, Spring 1851.
