18822 Lance Corporal (1st Battalion, Western Ontario Regiment) Edward Cecil William Mockler (b.1893) of Humboldt died 19150507 of wounds to the shoulder and abdomen sustained six days earlier during a gas attack at Langemarck and is buried at Ballinderry Middle Church cemetery, Antrim, Ireland. He was the son of Edward Mockler, a farmer at Ballinderry. Edward was working as a clerk for the Canadian Bank of Commerce when he enlisted at Edmontoon, Alberta, on the outbreak of the war.
