Douglas Steven Boyle was born March 3, 1950 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Dawn and Edward Boyle. He passed away November 6, 2012 in Provo, UT. Doug lived a wonderful and happy life. His days were full of friends and fun, health and happiness. He succeeded in business, with friends, and raising a strong family. Doug spent early years in Lonoke, AR. When he was eight, they moved to Monticello, UT. He loved growing up in Monticello, where he participated in a variety of sports, teased everyone around him, raised pigeons and swam in the tailings pond. Doug graduated from Monticello High in 1968. He was active in football, basketball, golf and more. Doug served in the London South LDS Mission. He graduated from BYU in 1975. He married Annette Hurren on October 5, 1978 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Doug and Annette lived in Provo, Monticello, Cedar Hills, and Orem. Four children joined the family: Angie, Tatum, Sam and Abby. Doug sold Farm Bureau Insurance in Monticello before moving to Utah Valley and opening Mr. Insurance. For the past 25 years, Doug and Kay Mangum built a successful agency. Doug loved people. He had many friends from every phase of life. He wrestled humor from every situation and loved to tease and make people laugh. Friendship was of great value to Doug. Doug enjoyed his children and grandchildren, playing golf and basketball, following BYU sports, exploring southeast Utah and traveling around the world. Doug served his church faithfully, including family ward, BYU student ward, and Utah Valley Hospital. For the past ten years, Doug was a Mt Timpanogos Temple ordinance worker. Doug is preceded in death by his father, Edward Boyle. He is survived by wife Annette Boyle; children Angela (Seth) King of South Jordan, UT; Tatum (Mike) Maggio of San Francisco, CA; Sam (Allie) Boyle of Salt Lake City, UT; and Abby (Peter) Fuller of Houston, TX. He is also survived by 6.5 grandchildren, mother Dawn Boyle and brothers Scott (Cassie) and Bill (Lynda) of Monticello, and scores of family and friends. Funeral services are Saturday, November 10 at noon at the LDS Church, 620 E Heather Road in Orem, UT. Viewing Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m at the chapel. Graveside services at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 12 at Monticello Cemetery in Monticello, UT. - See more at: *************************************************************************************************
