Memorial / Obituary / Personal History

04/16/2018
My dad passed away from a heart attack the night before my 6th birthday. I don't have many memories of him except stories I've heard, pictures and home movies. He was a mechanic, welder, liked to build things and work on machinery. He operated heavy equipment, built dams and roads. He loved camping at Kolob Mountain, the Coral Pink Dunes/Cane Beds and jeeping on the slick rock and sand dunes. He liked to do dutch oven cooking, work on, rebuild and restore cars, weld/create things for his equipment, cars and home. He was raised by his parents Harvey Thomas Sims and Helen Ann Longhurst on a ranch in Almy, Wyoming. He was married to Norma Dickson - they had two children John Wayne Sims and Sheila Sims Porter. They were divorced and he married Lola Pymm - they had 4 children, Joleene (Jodie), Rebecca (Beki), Harvey Thomas II (Harv or Tom) and Lisa
