I.H.S. Erected in memory of Daniel Mullan Late of Moyaver who died 6th FEB. 1903 aged 64 years. Also his loving wife Isabella who died 26th May 1884 Aged 42 years. Daniel W O'Mullan died 1st FEB. 1923 Aged 48 years Also their son Patrick O'Mullan who died 14th July 1933. Mary Ann Mullan died 10th December 1954. Elizabeth Mullan died 23rd June 1966. R.I.P.
Description
Daniel was a shoemaker. Isabella (née Scally) was a dressmaker. They lived in Upper Moyaver on Lot 1A (held by the Craig family) and probably also on Lots 2a/b which were held by Isabella's father, Patrick Scally, and later by her brother Duncan, from about the famine to about 1916. Of the 4 children listed, Patrick (farm labourer, dairyman, postman), Mary Ann and Elizabeth did not marry or have children. They stayed in Moyaver to the end of their lives. Daniel W. was a postman in Armoy, then later in Ballymoney. Immediately after Daniel W's death, his widow, Elizabeth Gallacher, and their 4 children moved to New Jersey.
