Daniel servied during WW2 as a Lance Corporal with the 32nd Battalion. My mother tells me that he did serve in France. She said he was a bit of a ladies man and always had different girlfriends until he met Betty and she became pregnant so he married her. I know that Mum said he married later in life. My mother is Bonnita (Bonnie) Dawn Cooper one of 4 daughters to James and Gladys Phillips.
