Grandpa's "Blue Eyes"

Contributor: SouthPawPhilly Created: 1 year ago Updated: 1 year ago

My Grandpa Talley and I had a special relationship. He used to love to tease me about my blue eyes. During one visit when I was about 10 years old, he was teasing me by saying, "I hate blue eyes." Even though I knew he wasn't serious, I argued with him by pointing out that my brother Geoffrey also had blue eyes to which he replied, "I hate YOUR blue eyes." In a last attempt to win the game, I asked him what color his eyes were, and when informed they were hazel, I immediately declared, "I hate hazel eyes!" He just laughed.
