He married Catherine Orr on February 20, 1926 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He is survived by his wife Catherine; children: John J. and wife Sheri of American Fork; Kenneth L. and wife Carma of Salt Lake; Shirley Hansen of Springville; Mrs. Alan (Kathleen) Moorehead of Rockvillle, Maryland; daughter-in-law Rita Russell of New York. He was preceded in death by a son, Sherman, in 1987. Burial was December 12, 1992.
