Narrative
It is hard to know exactly what Zenia's name was. Baptized as Ezina? Jane Dymond, she was Zenia Jane in the 1881 census, Zenia Jane on her marriage record, and Zena Jane on her gravestone. She was Ezena, Enie, Luccine, and other variations in other records.

Zenia Jane (1872-1959) married John "Jack" Robert Waite b. 07 Oct 1871 d. 1956, in 1891. In the 1911 census, the children listed were Sanford, Elveretta, Edna, Ivie, Alvin, Wilbert, Eston, and Edith.

Their son Sanford died while in service, World War 1.

In the 1921 Canadian census, "Luccine" and Jack had the following children living at home: Ivey, Alvin, Wilbert, Eston, Kenneth, Edith and Jennie. John and the two older boys were farming, and Wilbert was working in a factory. They were on the Hamilton Road in Lot 8.

The 1928 Atlas lists the following children for Zenia (Enie) and John: Alvin, Ivy, Wilbert, Eston, Jennie, Kenneth, and Edith. They were in Lot 9.

When Jenny H. Waite Harris died in 1997, she was the last surviving member of the family of Zenia and Jack.
