Memories from Mandy Richardson (Sister-in-Law)

I only met Brian three times before he passed away. But the memory I have of him is on Halloween night. Rachel was only 1 years old, and we had dressed her up as a cute bumblebee. We drove over to Gail and Brian's new home in Orem to "show off" how cute she was. We knocked on the door and nobody answered, we could see that someone was there so we kept knocking. A voice said, "We are out of candy." I replied it was just, "Jim and Mandy and Rachel." When the door was finally opened, there was Brian with the kids sitting on the floor, devouring and dividing out all the Halloween candy. I knew that Gail usually put all the candy in a jar and usually let the kids eat it slowly, but Brian was just letting them eat as much as they wanted and as fast as they wanted, including himself. I thought it was cute that he was just a "kid at heart." A fun memory that Jim has said about his brother Brian is that Brian had the idea that little Jim could be a "human ball." Jim rolled up in a ball, and Brian and Alan would literally pass him back and forth, just like he was a ball.
