Betty Elouise (Shanholtz) Weasenforth, 33, of Burlington, WV went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Jan 17, 2010, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD. Born on July 21, 1976, at Grafton, WV, she was the daughter of Darlene and Pete Buckingham of Romney, WV. Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Krista Wesenforth: a brother, William Buckingham Jr.; and her grandparents who raised her, Janice L. "Mom" Shanholtz and Eugene Nester. Mrs Weasenforth was a 1994 graduate of Hampshire High School and was formerly employed as a CNA. She was a member of the Burlington Volunteer Fire Department and was a past member of the Romney Volunteer Fire and the Romney Rescue Squad. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband of 14 years, David Weasenforth; one daughter, Stephine Weasenforth, at home; a god daughter, Shelby Darlene Burrows, Romney; four brothers, Billy Shanholtz and William Buckingham III, both of Romney, Bobby Foster of Burlington and Gary R. Ketterman of Farmington, WV.; four sisters Kay Buckingham and Gina Pyles both of Romney, Lisa McKinsey of Morgantown, WV and Christina Burrows of Elkins, WV; two special aunts and uncles, Mike and Tina Riggleman of Romney and Sonny and Cindy Foster of Elkins; several other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and her father and mother-in-law, David and Elizabeth Wesenforth of Burlington. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Friday, Jan 22, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Saturday, Jan 23, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Don Kesner officiating. Interment will be in the Tearcoat Cemetery, Augusta, WV.
