I remember that my Grandpa LeBaron always loved his garden. We occasionally slept over, and I remember him using a giant bowl for his cereal. he always ate really healthy foods and also loved bread and milk. I remember my grandparents always having cantaloupe and watering down their milk. They were very kind and went to church every Sunday. My grandpa died of colon cancer when I was in third grade and I remember visiting them the most that year. It seems that all of my growing up years we drove to Orem every Sunday to visit grandparents in the evening. My grandpa had a hospital bed in his home as he got nearer to dying and could only eat pureed foods. He never seemed super heavy to me before, but he lost a lot of weight in those months leading up to his death. It was hard to watch. Because I was so young when he died, I feel badly that I did not know more about him. I do have happy memories though, of a kind and caring grandfather.
