Evening Post, 2 June 1919

Mr Paris Brooke Anderson, whose death at Manakau was reported last week, came from a prominent English military family. His father was the late Lieutenant-Colonel Anderson, who at the time of his death was in charge of the troops stationed at Edinburgh Castle. His three brothers were: General Arthur W. L. Anderson, Colonel Edward B. Anderson and Mr Farquhar Anderson (of Karori). Two of his sisters are living in England. Major Eric Anderson, a nephew of the late Mr Anderson, was one of the first British officers to win the D.S.O. in the late war. The late Mr Maitland Anderson, of Makara, pre-deceased his brother by a month, at the age of 78 years.
