The friends of Mr Owen Hefferan will regret to learn of the death of his wife, which occurred at a private hospital in Masterton somewhat suddenly yesterday afternoon. The late Mrs Hefferan, who was born in Denmark 68 years ago, was a well-known resident of the district, having resided here for over thirty years. Although of a retiring disposition she had many friends, who will mourn her loss and extend their sympathy to her sorrowing husband and to her sister, Miss S. Jensen of Mauriceville West, her only relative in New Zealand. The funeral will leave St Patrick's Church to-morrow at 9 a.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
