Brushing Hair

Contributor: Jetrina Smith Created: 1 year ago Updated: 1 year ago

As one of only two nieces, Aunt Charlene would always ask if she could brush my hair before going to bed every time we visited her. As a child I didn't quite understand why she asked but as I grew older I understood how much she wished for a daughter and I am grateful that I was able to give her some sense of having a daughter. I loved my Aunt Charlene very much and I'm so grateful that I was named after her because she was one of the greatest women I've ever met.
