Alton Vernon Wilde, age 78, of Duchesne, passed away November 8 2019, at the Abbington in Heber City. He was born May 13, 1941, in Wanship, UT, to Parley Sylvester and Reah Vernon Wilde. Alton was raised in Kamas, Ut. After graduating high school, he went to work for Wheeler Machinery as a mechanic, and eventually made his way to the oilfield working for Husky Energy and making Duchesne his home. Alton’s hobbies included cutting wood, wood working, hanging out at Killian’s gas station, fishing, camping, and hunting in his younger days. He loved a good John Wayne western and a pack of Juicy Fruit bubble gum. Alton also loved his little white pick up and his two dogs "Blue and "Abigale." Alton is survived by his children Heidi (Rick) Miller of Salem, UT; Troy (Gretchen) Wilde of Heber, UT; Eric (Kristy) Wilde of Duchesne, UT; siblings, Shirlene Mooseman of Idaho; Sheldon Wilde, Peoa, UT; Nate Wilde and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Carolyn Rae Ivie; his sons Jeffrey & Kevin Wilde; and Sue Austil, mother to Alton’s youngest son, Eric. We would like to extend a special thanks to Rocky Mountain Care Center and the Abbington in Heber City, the staff and hospice team at both facilities in helping us care for Alton. Grave side services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 11 am at the Bridgeland Cemetery where there will be a short viewing.
