Description

"Meritorious Service Medal

'During the period September 17th to December 31st, 1918, B.S.M. ANDERSON has displayed continuous good service and devotion to duty. This Non Commissioned Officer has been with the battery since its formation and has done splendid work, both at the battery position and the wagon lines. As Battery Sergeant Major he has always set a fine example to his men, showing coolness and judgment under most trying conditions. During the recent offensive operations, he has assisted in the supply of ammunition, and by utter disregard of his personal safety has assured the safe arrival of the rounds to the battery.'
