Cemetery Description
One of the most famous and historic churches in Denmark, this has been the site of royal weddings and funerals, but is now most famous for Bertel Thorvaldsen's statues of the 12 apostles and the heroic Christus with His hands out, patiently imploring Komer til mig - Come unto me.
A number of burials took place in the basement of the church, mostly in the 1700s. Only a few of these remain in a small "ruins exhibit beneath the Christus statue.
