Description

Jan/2024 - not a large property. Maybe 120-150 gravestones, early-1800s-onwards. Most have not been cared for, so some really need a proper cleaning in order to read them at all. I was only able to read half of the few I photographed, so I decided to put off the rest until I could return with cleaning gear on a nice warm day. Suggest someone take a day in summer to clean them (soapy water) and scrape lichen off (plastic scraper only - NOT METAL or a Brillo pad!!!!!!!). You don't need to be a conservationist to do this, but be careful, respectful and gentle!!
