St. Peter’s Cemetery has marked the final resting place for most parishioners since the 1870s, when the site was purchased from the Roman Catholic Diocese. At the front of the Cemetery, a few headstones identify the graves of members of the Roman Catholic Diocese who were buried before the land was sold. St. Peter’s Cemetery is a peaceful and restful place that contains the graves of many prominent Islanders.\n
