Description

"The best way to get to this cemetery, is to go east from Lansing on I-96 to the Okemos Road exit. Go south on Okemos Road about one-half mile, turn left onto Sandhill and go one mile to where it dead ends at Dobie Road. Turn left onto Dobie Road and the cemetery is right there. Leek Cemetery has been in use since the 1850s, and is still being used today. Dobie Road bisects the cemetery, with the oldest graves located on the west side of the road. The east side is much larger, and has a large area for future use. It is well maintained, and has no signs of vandalism The oldest part of the cemetery is closest to Miller Road, and there are quite a number of gravestones that were unreadable due to weathering and/or breakage."
