Address: 405 Cessnock Road, Ryhope NSW 2283 Lake Macquarie Memorial Park (Cemetery & Crematorium) is located near the base of the Watagan's National Park. It is easily accessible right near the M1 motorway, use the Palmers Rd offramp if travelling north onto Cessnock Rd, use the Toronto exit ramp if driving southbound on the M1. The park is picturesque with large gardens, several ponds and fountains which all attract the local birds and wildlife. The Park has lawn burials, rose gardens, and columbarium walls. All denominations are catered for. There is a lot of parking for vehicles. There is a large chapel for services and a veterans memorial and a garden for interments of infants and stillborn babies. Note: For any future photographers. There is now a 'Natural Burial Ground" up behind the main building and pond on the right hand side as you drive through the park. The dirt road on the right to the west side leads up to the burial ground. Some burials are not marked with headstones, some have markers.
