The Kingsley Lake Baptist Church was established in 1864 as McKingsley Pond Church in the rear of the current church building. Burials in the cemetery at the rear of the property began in the mid 1880's. The cemetery has grown to include the frontage of the church property on Florida State Road 16. A memorial to the three men from this parish killed in Vietnam is located in the front of the cemetery. Burials of veterans include those who fought in the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam and Persian Gulf War.
