Description

The recently restored Church building (2016) probably has some Saxon material but the present building was begun in the 12th Century and completed by about 1400. The spire rising to just under 200 feet is a notable landmark in the area. The hugely irregular shaped font has associations with Saint Rumbold, who was born here in 662. Due to age and weathering many of the headstone in the surrounding Churchyard are unreadable but a few that are left have been captured here.
