Description

(Indiantown Memorial Park). This small cemetery is located on private property in western Martin County, between the Indiantown Airport and the community of Indiantown. Well hidden by pine trees, woods, and Florida fauna, the cemetery consists of one area with approximately 30 grave sites and is fronted by a small enclosed area of several unmarked grav esites. It is accessible only on foot, across fields and marked cattle trails. It is neat and well laid out. Originally the burying ground of local inhabitants, primarily farm and field workers, the earliest burial appears to have been about 1952 and the latest about 1970. At one time the property was owned by famed rodeo rider GC Troup.
