Description

Hyde Cemetery is located south on Highway D from Sullivan, Missouri right on Rock Road. On the left of Rock Road is the Isgriggs Cemetery on the right is Hyde Creek. \n\nHyde Creek flows north of Rock Road and forks a small distance. At the junction in the fork of Hyde Creek is Hyde Cemetery.\n\nNamed after Judge John Taylor Hyde Sr. who had a farm in the area near the Meramec River. \n\nWhen I was there in the 1980\'s only a few graves were showing. The judge\'s first wife; Mary M. \"Polly\" (PINNELL) Hyde; daughter of Peter Sr. & Nancy Ann (YARBROUGH) Pinnell is buried there with some of her children. \n\nAfter the death of Mary; John married Mary \"Polly\" (ISGRIGGS) daughter of Henry L. & Sarah (LEMON) Isgriggs and John and Mary are buried in the New Rock Cemetery down Rock Road. \n\n
