Description

Established in 1890, Holy Cross Cemetery is one of the main Roman Catholic cemeteries in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Many Catholic residents of Philadelphia were buried in this large cemetery, which is approximately 225 acres. HOURS: Monday through Saturday: 8:30am - 4:00pm. It is CLOSED on Sundays. The cemetery is gated and they strictly adhere to the opening hours. The cemetery office is located at the Bailey Road entrance. The buildings on the MacDade Blvd side are for maintenance only. NOTE: The term "Range" is used at Holy Cross instead of "Row." A Range is a row of back-to-back burials. Cemetery staff indicate that they are permitted to look up two graves per visitor/caller per day. It is also worth noting that, frequently, multiple individuals are buried in one gravesite. Depending on the style of headstone selected the names of those individuals may be on the sides and even the back of the headstone. If the photographer took and posted photos of the sides and back then the side and back images - while not viewable in the app - will be viewable on the website. Alternate address: Bailey Road & Yeadon Ave., Yeadon, PA 19050
