The old section is on the left with rows numbered from the road to the rear, and north and south end designations on each row, and the new section on the right is numbered from the road to the rear. Foster Hill was known in 1878 as the North Galway Cemetery, located "about a quarter of a mile north of North Galway, on the east side of the road leading to the town of Providence."
