Description

Faughart Graveyard is an ancient graveyard that dates back to the 12th century or more. It is linked with St. Brigid whose well is in the graveyard. The tomb of Edward the Bruce who named himself High King of Ireland and who was killed in the Battle of Faughart, Co. Louth on 14th October 1318, is here.
