Emerald Cemetery was originally known as Nangana, Macclesfield and Emerald Cemetery interchangeably. Today, Emerald Cemetery is an eclectic cemetery, sheltered among natural bushland, with plantings forming part of the memorials on graves. It offers a sanctuary for native wildlife and birds, which in turn creates a unique setting for the burial and memorialisation of loved ones.
