Description

Established as a public burial place in 1916, Crest Lawn Memorial Park is situated on approximately 145 acres. With over 50,000 burials, Crestlawn is the oldest Mausoleum West of the Allegheny Mountains. Crestlawn also has 5 different areas that are Jewish Cemeteries. Casey’s Hill Cemetery (documented as its own cemetery is located within the Crestlawn boundaries. Atop Casey's Hill in a portion of Crestlawn Cemetery is the old Casey family cemetery. John Austin Casey owned much of the property in this area from 1820-1907. Though within its boundaries, the Casey Family Cemetery is technically separate from Crestlawn. It suffered quite a bit of neglect over the years, but recently is has been cleaned and tended. Many previously inaccessible graves are now plainly visible. Highland Cemetery is located in the Northwest corner of Crest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. It is situated near the top of Casey's Hill about 1000 yards North of Casey's Cemetery. On occasion through the last 100 years the cemetery has been listed by several names on death certificates and death notices. These names are: Casey's Cemetery Crest Lawn Cemetery Highland Cemetery North View Cemetery Riverview Cemetery Crown Hill Cemetery Highland Cemetery is also known as "Old Highland" and/or "D-Highland" by Crest Lawn Memorial Park. Highland Cemetery is owned and operated by Crest Lawn Memorial Park. If you have an inquiry about a burial in Highland Cemetery please contact the Crest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery office. The office can be contacted at (404) 355-3380 or Fax (404) 352-9337.
