Description

Street Address: 1790 Cassburn Road\nCommunity: Cassburn\nTownship: Longueuil Township (Concession M 100, Lot 8)\nLocality: Prescott County\nMunicipality: Champlain\nProvince: ON\nGPS: 45.584585,-74.701834\n\nMaintained by* Cassburn Cemetery Board. First interment in 1804. Seigneur Nathaniel Treadwell conveyed to the public a tract of land to be known as the Cassburn cemetery. On the accompanying land would be a school and a church. Graves of the original settlers (Marston, Cass, Allen, Kellogg and others) and generations of the descendents are marked by Memorial Stones in this location. Many families have more than five (5) generations in this final resting place.
