Description

The Blumberg Family Immigrated from Germany to Texas in 1835 on the ship the Neptune. Carl and Cathrine Blumberg, the name sakes are buried in the Schumannsville Cemetery a few miles North on 725. Many of Carl and Cathrines decendants are buried here along with their daughter and her husband, Henrietta Blumberg Elley and Reverend Gustav Elley. When Elley traveled from Germany to America he changed his name from Baron Gustav von Elterlein.
