This church and cemetery have been around since approximately the late 1200s. Like most London area churches, the overcrowded and unhealthy cemetery was closed to new burials in 1854. There are a few memorials and crypts in the churchyard, but most of the headstones have been pulled out and dropped in a jumbled pile at the edge of the yard. The old graveyard now serves as a small park with the few surviving crypts (mostly unreadable) and memorials.
