All Saints' Church is a grade 2 listed building. The first church on the site, a timber framed building, was built in the second half of the 16th Century. A new church to replace what was now a dilapidated building was commissioned in 1808 and finished in 1811. A local mill owner, Samuel Oldknow, was a major contributor to the building costs. In the 1870s the congregation had grown and the church was deemed too small. A new church was built beside the old one and this was consecrated in 1880. Some services were still held in the old building but, in the 1960s, it was dilapidated and too expensive to repair and so was demolished leaving just the tower. The old body of the church is now a memorial garden.
