Everdina Schreiber was 3 years old when Abraham Lincoln is elected as the 16th President of United States. Lincoln led the United States through the American Civil War—its bloodiest war and perhaps its greatest moral, constitutional, and political crisis. In doing so, he preserved the Union, abolished slavery, strengthened the federal government, and modernized the economy.
Everdina Schreiber was 22 years old when Thomas Edison demonstrates incandescent lighting to the public for the first time, in Menlo Park, New Jersey.
