Description

In 1903, Lorenzo & Jesse Stoker (brothers) donated a portion of their farms to the LDS Roy First Ward land for a community cemetery. In 1937, the Roy First Ward later donated this land to the City. My Mother, Jesse's daughter, told me that Lorenzo's daughter Clarrasa Jane Stoker died 9 Mar 1890 in Preston, Oneida, Idaho. Her mother missed her when they moved to Roy. Lorenzo returned to Idaho and exhumed her and brought her home to their farm. The brothers then donated this land to the Ward and Clarrasa became the first person into this cemetery. My Mother, Verda Stoker Nelson, was born on the diagonal corner of the farm and she was the last person to return to "The Farm."
